STRATEGIES FOR CHANGE How To Face A Major Loss
How to figure it all out starts with a clear idea of who you are, what you want, and how to create that new life.
Wellness is what you strive for. Change is the mechanism to ahieve it. Healing is the end product that takes place in the individual.
You can live the life you want. Starting over or simply changing a habit or two gives you clarity and satisfaction.
Your dreams and ideas belong to you.
Hello! I’m Judy Strong. I will teach you the steps you need to take to assess and grieve your losses, and begin to move forward with a new life plan.
Bereavement follows a loss that destroys an essential part of your life. Whether you realize it or not, you mourn that loss.
There is an array of emotions, including sadness, anger, defeat and bewildement. These feelings hold you back from putting a new plan in place and movig forward.
A good plan includes an evaluaton of all the aspects of your life. A holistic approach will do this.
Holistic means understanding that when one part of life is out of whack, it affects the others. It isn’t a religion, a psychological pattern or a magic solution.
You have to take care of yourself.
The benefits of putting yourself in charge include:
A sense of control over your life.
An evaluation of the status quo from your perspective.
A feeling of energy.
A positive attitude.
A sense of accomplishment for moving forward.
A good plan includes an evaluation of all the aspects of your life.

If you are thinking about making a change, or you need to do so because you have experienced a loss, you can find help here. There are articles and essays that explain all aspects of dealing with adversity and loss, and they are just the beginning.
As a survivor, speaker, and grief facilitator, I have looked into the faces of countless people who were overwhelmed with the agony of grief and loss.
My take on things is that you reap the most benefits when you strive toward Wellness.
Wellness is a state, a place where you juggle the aspects of life, trying to get everything in sync. Until you address each element and take care of any difficulties, you’ll be putting a temporary fix on your life. This results in dissatisfaction and frustration.
Though there are different lists of these aspects of living, I include the following:
Each person sees themselves as an individual in these aspects of living. How you define yourself is entirely up to you. But it takes some thought, and a clear understanding of who you really are, what you want and what you need.
I recommend making a list, a spreadsheet, or a document as you get to know yourself.
Grow at your own pace.
You can prioritize whichever element you wish. Or work at more than one at a time. Since they are interconnected, they will affect one another. Some call the elements healthy habits you practice everyday.
Your core values may be your lead, or an immediate need may direct you to make a change(s) in your habits, that result in growth.
